Why does this video haunt me?

This is an incredibly moving video. Set against sad beautiful music even the "happy scenes" seem melancholy, helping to set the stage for the tragic ending. The white scarf is an ingenious motif that ties this whole piece together.

Why does this video haunt me?

This video drew me in within the first few seconds with its amazingly timed effects. The quick zooms and overlays at the beginning are quite gripping and set the stage for this vid. I loved the "touched my hand" match - with Hannibal stroking her hand - also the kiss between them was portrayed quite disturbingly. This video shows just how creepy the Hannibal/Clarice relationship can be.

Dealing with Demons by Sadique

Why does this video haunt me?

This is a powerful look at the demons inside of Spike & Angel that haunt them. The quick cuts and high energy of this vid add to the feelings of frustration and anger they both deal with on a regular basis. I especially loved the part early on where Angel's face glows yellow with the change in the music. The lyrics of this song, especially "The face inside is right beneath my skin," fit the theme of this video so perfectly. Excellent choice.

Halo by Andrea

Why does this video haunt me?

A painful & dark look at the tragedy that befalls Wesley & Fred. What a great version of this song, Halo by Depeche Mode, to set this vid too. The breaths in the music added a wonderful pace to the whole thing. By the time both Fred & then Wesley die in this vid, the tears are pouring.

Why does this video haunt me?

This vid is INTENSE. The driving "go back to sleep" is a very dark refrain, which matches the mood of this vid perfectly. The use of black & white with flashes of color in only limited spots of importance in tune with the odd musical sequences is pure genious. Black & white gave this vid a hard, dark, male edge, which is quite fitting for Angel & Connor. I also found myself thinking often of the flashing back bars of vid clips used in the beginning and again in the middle. And I absolutely loved the reverse of "The Father will Kill the Son" to "The Son will Kill the Father." Brilliant! I liked the choice of song as well - the theme of saving his son from himself is well matched to this piece.
